Tour Plan
Your journey begins in Delhi, the vibrant and historically rich capital of India. Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Take the remainder of the day to relax, adjust to the time zone, and soak in the energy of the city. If you arrive early, consider a gentle walk through nearby markets like Connaught Place or a sunset view at India Gate, a popular evening hangout for locals.
Day 2 is dedicated to exploring the two contrasting halves of Delhi: Old Delhi, with its Mughal-era landmarks and maze-like alleys, and New Delhi, with its colonial grandeur and modern architecture.
Start your morning in Old Delhi, where you'll visit the imposing Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once housed Mughal emperors. Nearby, explore Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, and soak in the sights and sounds of Chandni Chowk. Ride a cycle rickshaw through its narrow lanes lined with spice stalls, jewelers, and street food vendors. Be sure to sample local favorites like jalebis, parathas, or a glass of lassi.
In the afternoon, transition to New Delhi, developed by the British during the colonial era. Visit India Gate, a war memorial surrounded by manicured lawns, then drive past Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan (the President’s residence). Continue to the 12th-century Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world, and end the day at the serene Lotus Temple, known for its flower-like design and spiritual ambiance.
Wrap up your day with dinner at a heritage restaurant such as Karim’s (Old Delhi) or Indian Accent (New Delhi) to enjoy a taste of authentic Indian cuisine before heading back to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast, depart from Delhi for Agra, a city synonymous with eternal love and Mughal grandeur. The drive takes approximately 4 hours, passing through scenic rural landscapes and glimpses of local life along the Yamuna Expressway.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. In the late afternoon, prepare for the highlight of your visit—the Taj Mahal. As the sun begins to set, the iconic white marble monument glows with warm golden hues, casting a spell of romance and wonder. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a bucket-list destination for travelers around the world.
If time allows, visit Mehtab Bagh, a serene Mughal garden located across the Yamuna River, offering a peaceful and less crowded vantage point for viewing the Taj at dusk.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Mughlai dinner—rich gravies, kebabs, and aromatic biryanis—in a local restaurant or your hotel.
Overnight in Agra (1 night only).
After breakfast, depart Agra and travel west to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s colorful capital (approx. 5 hours by road). En route, you may optionally stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a beautifully preserved 16th-century Mughal city and former imperial capital built by Akbar. Though abandoned, its red sandstone palaces and courtyards remain strikingly intact.
Upon reaching Jaipur, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a casual walk through local bazaars or dine at a rooftop restaurant with views of the illuminated Nahargarh Fort or Albert Hall Museum.
Start the day with a trip to the majestic Amber Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. Explore its sprawling courtyards, mirror palaces, and ramparts. You can reach the fort’s entrance by jeep or take a decorated elephant ride (optional, early arrival recommended).
Next, visit the elegant City Palace, still partly occupied by the royal family. Adjacent lies the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory with massive instruments designed for skywatching and timekeeping in the 18th century.
Later, stop for photos at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), famous for its latticework windows that once allowed royal women to observe street life unseen.
In the evening, immerse yourself in Rajasthani culture—visit Chokhi Dhani, a cultural village offering dance performances, puppet shows, traditional games, and an authentic Rajasthani meal served on leaf platters.
Overnight in Jaipur (2 nights).
After breakfast, bid farewell to Jaipur and begin your journey northwest into the arid expanse of the Thar Desert, bound for Bikaner—a city steeped in desert heritage, royal lineage, and architectural marvels.
The drive itself offers a changing landscape, with golden fields, scattered hamlets, and traditional rural scenes unfolding along the route. On arrival in Bikaner, check into your hotel and take some time to relax.
Later in the afternoon, get your first taste of Bikaner’s local culture by visiting the bustling Kote Gate Market, where the air is filled with the aroma of spices and the shops are brimming with camel leather products, miniature paintings, and Bikaneri snacks. Don’t forget to try Bikaneri bhujia, the city’s most famous spicy snack that has earned GI-tagged recognition across India.
In the evening, enjoy a leisurely dinner in a heritage hotel or local eatery, where Rajasthani hospitality and cuisine come alive.
Overnight in Bikaner.
Begin your day with a visit to the Junagarh Fort, one of India’s rare forts never conquered in battle. Built in the 16th century, this imposing fortress showcases a unique blend of Mughal, Gujarati, and Rajput architectural styles. Next, head to the National Research Centre on Camels, also known as the Camel Breeding Farm, located just outside the city. This one-of-a-kind institution offers insight into camel husbandry and desert ecology. You’ll see different camel breeds, learn about their role in desert life, and can even enjoy camel milk ice cream—a rare treat!
Later, visit the Lalgarh Palace, an architectural marvel made of red sandstone, now partly converted into a museum and heritage hotel. The palace features Indo-Saracenic designs, sprawling lawns, and antique collections that speak of Bikaner’s regal past.
Spend the evening exploring old Bikaner’s winding alleys, admiring sandstone havelis with carved facades and jharokhas (overhanging balconies), or simply relax with a traditional tea at a local chai stall.
Overnight in Bikaner.
Depart from Bikaner and travel deeper into the vast, arid landscape of the Thar Desert, arriving in the enchanting town of Jaisalmer after approximately 6 hours on the road. Known as the “Golden City”, Jaisalmer’s honey-colored sandstone architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding desert sands, creating a magical ambiance.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and refresh yourself before heading out to explore the iconic Jaisalmer Fort, one of the few “living forts” in the world. This massive sandstone fortress rises dramatically from the desert plain, housing shops, homes, temples, and palaces within its walls. Wander through the narrow lanes to experience the vibrant local life that flourishes here.
Next, visit the exquisite Patwon Ki Haveli, a cluster of five havelis famed for their intricate facades and detailed stone carvings. Also explore Salim Singh Ki Haveli, known for its unique curved roof and ornate windows, reflecting the artistic craftsmanship of Rajasthan’s bygone era.
In the evening, embark on a classic camel safari across the rolling golden dunes outside Jaisalmer. As the sun sets, painting the sky in fiery hues, enjoy a traditional Rajasthani folk dance performance at a desert camp under the stars—a perfect cultural immersion surrounded by serene desert silence.
Overnight in Jaisalmer (2 nights).
After breakfast, depart Jaisalmer for the bustling city of Jodhpur (approx. 5 hours). Known as the “Blue City” for its vivid blue-painted houses clustered beneath the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur offers a stunning blend of history, architecture, and vibrant street life.
On arrival, check into your hotel and prepare for an afternoon tour of Mehrangarh Fort. Perched on a rocky hill, the fort boasts massive walls, intricately decorated palaces, and panoramic views of the blue cityscape. Inside, visit the museum displaying royal artifacts, weaponry, and costumes.

Continue to the impressive Umaid Bhawan Palace, part museum and part luxury hotel, showcasing Art Deco architecture and glimpses into royal life.
Spend the evening wandering through the lively Clock Tower Market, where locals shop for spices, textiles, and handicrafts. Sit at a roadside café and savor a cup of traditional masala chai, absorbing the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
Use your second day in Jodhpur to delve deeper into its rich cultural fabric. Stroll the labyrinthine alleys of the old city, spotting blue houses and vibrant markets. Visit ancient stepwells such as Toorji Ka Jhalra, architectural marvels designed to store water in the desert.
